I decided to contact my mortgage broker – he had looked after me when I had recently applied for a cheap home loan and at the time had said he could also help with a new car loan if I was ever in the market. I am always astounded at the level of knowledge of my mortgage broker. He has his finger on the pulse – not just with mortgage finance but also with new car finance. He knows who is in the market, what their terms and conditions are, who is offering the best rate… why a new car loan with Lender A might be better than a new car loan with Lender B even though the monthly installment due with Lender B is lower than the new car loan repayment with Lender A. What really surprised me was threat my mortgage broker was also able to source me the identical car at a lower price. It seems that some mortgage brokers and lease brokers have arrangements in place with car dealerships whereby they can get the car cheaper. This is apparently because car dealerships often have a bonus structure operating and if a certain volume of cars are sold within a month then the bonus kicks in from the manufacturer. If say a car dealer needs to sell 30 cars in the month and coming in to the end of that month he is sitting at 28 cars then the bonus amount he will lose if he does not reach his volume target will be significantly higher than the amount by which he could discount the sale price to you. This guy is not worrying about the new car loan he just wants to ensure the target is reached. He’ll worry about the new car loan once he has secured the deal with you. As a random buyer you are not aware of these statistics but where a mortgage broker or lease broker deals with new car finance they will often know where the car dealership’s sales are at and whether the timing might be right to negotiate a good deal. I ended up a very happy chappie because I obtained a new car at a lower price with a new car loan that really suited me well.

Another down fall of web based system is it will require certain plug-ins for certain browsers to display the information properly. Hybrid cars are fast becoming one of the hottest items in the auto industry and it’s no surprise considering the hybrid car ratings that they get from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Charged with protecting and safeguarding the natural environment, it’s the EPA’s ratings that really matter when it comes to choosing the right hybrid vehicle to buy.

What It’s All About?

You might be asking what the EPA has to do with it at all. Most hybrids these days that are for sale to the general public have to have an EPA rating and it is this rating that will tell a consumer just how much fuel is saved when it comes to a hybrid’s mileage.

This, on the consumers end, is actually more advantageous since the consumer can translate these ratings to fuel efficiency and thus monetary savings. But more important than that, the EPA determines which cars are the most fuel-efficient, which ones have the least amount of carbon monoxide emissions, and therefore which ones are the fittest for the environment in general. These tests are conducted on about 15% of all cars. One of these tests is on fuel economy which involves city and highway cycles to see the result on what kind of usage cars have when it comes to fuel consumption. For the year 2008, these tests have changed in many ways and the EPA has revised testing methods because of the introduction of hybrid cars.

Hybrid car ratings are now calculated using a dynamometer and these results will be shown on labels that will be attached to the vehicles to show what fuel economy estimates there are per model. These ratings make it easier for the consumer to pick the most fuel-efficient hybrid car.

These days, it’s no big secret that hybrid cars are the most fuel-efficient and it’s one of the reasons why these cars are becoming more popular. But fuel efficiency is a different story with all the model cars that are coming out of the assembly line from various car manufacturers. Some of the most fuel efficient includes the Ford Focus with an EPA rating of 24 miles in the city/35 miles on the highway to the gallon, the Honda Fit with a rating of 33 miles in the city/38 miles on the highway, and the Honda Civic with 30 miles in the city/38 miles on the highway. And these ratings are more different if those cars are automatics.

It’s these easy ratings that help consumers make the right choice, helping them to pick cars that suit their lifestyles. It is exactly why the EPA conducts its tests and comes up with hybrid car ratings, which is fitting since more people are now making the switch to the hybrid car.

When it comes to motorcycle reviews, it’s fairly easy to find them online as they are as numerous as the number of people doing the reviewing. - Difficulty factors involved in finding replacement parts

One thing that is always a critical issue is if the bike overwhelms the rider or if the rider is too tall for the bike. It’s a comfort factor first and foremost, but equally as important is the safety issue. If the bike overwhelms the rider, the consequences could be very hazardous to the rider’s health and well-being. An overwhelming bike cannot be handled properly nor controlled properly

Every bike on the market usually has a list of options available, but that list may or may not tell the buyer what is included as standard and what adds to the cost. This is often covered on the price tag, but sometimes there are other options that can be included as standard in place of those that are listed.

Is the rider experienced enough to handle the bike they are thinking about buying, or is the bike going to eventually become boring to the rider?

You got a great deal when you purchased the bike, but what are normal maintenance and repairs going to cost you? Furthermore, what is the frequency of those repairs — infrequent occurrences versus repairs being needed too frequently.

Finally, how difficult is it going to be for you to find replacement parts when you need to perform normal maintenance or make necessary repairs? If that bike is your only means of transportation, and you have to wait two or three weeks for parts in order to do the repairs, you’re in a world of hurt. So you want to make sure that there is never problem being able to repair your bike so you don’t miss any time on the road or at work or both.
